Colocation facilities in areas such as Rondebosch and Brackenfell, the AWS Africa (Cape Town) Region, Microsoft Azure's South Africa West region and several subsea cables landing on the West Coast make the city a key location for network and cloud infrastructure.

IITECH is based in Johannesburg, and we are upfront about what that means. For Cape Town we plan work as scheduled visits: installs, rack and stack, migrations, decommissions, audits and maintenance windows, grouped to be efficient for you. For urgent tickets, we agree the most practical response in your SLA before the contract starts, including travel time from Gauteng.

Many customers run infrastructure in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. Using one field partner in both cities means one set of procedures, one report format and one escalation contact.

Do you have engineers based in Cape Town?

Our engineers are based in Johannesburg. We cover Cape Town with scheduled visits and agreed-response work, and we plan urgent cover with you before you need it.

Can you support equipment in Teraco CT1 or CT2?

We can work on tenant equipment in Cape Town colocation facilities, including Teraco's Rondebosch (CT1) and Brackenfell (CT2) sites, when the tenant authorises our access. We are independent and not affiliated with Teraco.

Do you work in the AWS or Microsoft cloud regions in Cape Town?

Hyperscale cloud regions are operated by the cloud providers themselves. We support customers' own equipment that connects to those regions, such as network edge, colocation and on-premises hardware.

Is it worth using a Johannesburg provider for Cape Town?

It is if you want one partner across both cities with consistent procedures and reports, or for planned projects where the schedule is known in advance.

What does a Cape Town visit cost?

It depends on the scope and travel. We quote per project, or agree rates for regular visits in your contract.
