Our approach

Tidy is not cosmetic.

Good cabling is a reliability decision. When every lead is the right length, routed through proper management and labelled at both ends, engineers can trace a fault in minutes instead of hours, and a change at 2am doesn't take down the wrong service.

IITECH installs new cabling and fixes cabling that has grown out of control. That covers horizontal Cat6 and Cat6A runs to desks and access points, fibre backbones between floors or buildings, patch panels and comms cabinets, and high-density patching in data centre racks.

Every job ends with test results and documentation: port schedules, labels that match them and photos of the finished work. You can hand it to any engineer and they will understand it.

New installs, clean-ups and ongoing moves, adds and changes.

  • UTP copper runsCat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A horizontal cabling, terminated on patch panels and outlets, then tested.
  • Fibre backbonesSingle-mode and multimode fibre between comms rooms, floors and buildings, spliced or pre-terminated.
  • Patching and re-patchingMoves, adds and changes to your port map, including your colour code if you use one.
  • Cable managementRe-dressing messy racks, removing dead cables and fitting horizontal and vertical managers.
  • Data centre patchingHigh-density copper and fibre patching, and tenant-side cross-connect patching inside colocation racks.
  • Labelling and documentationConsistent labels at both ends, port schedules and as-built records you can maintain.
  • TestingContinuity and wiremap tests on copper, and light-level and OTDR testing on fibre.
  • Cabinets and comms roomsWall-mounted and floor-standing cabinets, PDUs, cable trays and small UPS installs.

How it works

From survey to sign-off.

Clear scope before we start, clean records when we finish.

  1. Survey

    We walk the site, measure routes, check containment and note power, access and working-hours rules.

  2. Quote and plan

    You get a written scope, cable counts, materials and a schedule that avoids disruption.

  3. Install

    Cables are run, terminated, dressed and labelled, and dust and offcuts are cleared at the end of each day.

  4. Test and document

    Every link is tested and you receive the results, the labelling schedule and photos.

Response times and SLAs. Project timelines are agreed in the quote. For ongoing moves, adds and changes, response times are agreed in a support agreement, so small jobs don't wait in a queue.

Do you install Cat6A?

Yes. We install Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A depending on the distances, the equipment and your budget, and we explain the trade-offs before you choose.

Can you clean up an existing messy rack?

Yes. Re-cabling is usually done in stages during maintenance windows so services stay up. We trace, label and document as we go.

Do you test the cabling you install?

We test every link we install and give you the results. If your project needs certification reports from a specific tester or manufacturer warranty programme, tell us at quote stage so we can plan for it.

Do you do fibre as well as copper?

Yes. We install fibre backbones and patching, and splice and OTDR-test fibre. See our fibre splicing and OTDR page.

Do you work outside office hours?

Yes. For occupied offices and live data centres we often work evenings and weekends to avoid disruption.
